Finished Objects: cricut koozie (super mario mushroom)

This was my first finished project with my cricut. I'm really happy with how it came out and I have learned so much. It is an wedding anniversary present for my very amazing husband :-)

Notes:- I cleaned the surface with alcohol - I used scotch tape for moving the design from the matt/backing to the surface. Perfect amount of stickiness - etsy file -> https://www.etsy.com/listing/525736348/super-mario-dxf-super-m…

Materials I used:

- Official Yeti Koozie thing (the best)! YETI Rambler Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Colster

- This is the first time I've used this brand of vinyl (it is more permanent than crictu brand) and it was great! Ultimate Oracal 651 Starter Pack 63 Glossy Self Adhesive Vinyl Sheets (12" x 12", 63 Assortment)

Finished Object: Zelda Cross Stitch

From the original Zelda NES game. ""IT'S A SECRET TO EVERYBODY.

I used the screenshot and worked out the colors/pixels on graph paper.  I couldn't get the words to fit, so I had to compromise.

I brought the screenshot to the store to try to line up the embroidery colors as close as possible to the screenshot. I really liked working with the black cross stitch canvas. I have a few more 8bit ideas that are a little fancier in my head to try on the black canvas.

the 12th doctor - perler beads

Ok, giant discovery was made on this one. I researched the 12th doctor's costume and had all my sketches ready to go and then found out.. perler beads don't come in navy... what the hell?!? He is supposed to have a navy blue coat and black pants.. so instead I created him with a white shirt. I'm not thrilled i had to compromise, I had a nice sketch and was very frustrated. Black pants with a black coat didn't look right.. so yeah.. compromise is painful :-)
